Ideal Software Systems, Inc. is a privately held software/technology company headquartered in Meridian, MS. Founded in 1985, the company provides software and hardware solutions for the family entertainment and financial services industries throughout the United States and internationally.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports to the company President and is responsible for all administrative activities of the company, including operational accounting and administration, financial reporting and analysis, treasury, human resources, purchasing, risk management and compliance. The CFO manages a small staff, and works closely with the company management team.
Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Accounting (or Business with heavy accounting emphasis)

Minimum of 10 (ten) years experience in corporate accounting leadership role(s)

Experience with Accounting/ERP Software (other than Quickbooks)

Excellent organizational, analytical and leadership skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Expert level spreadsheet skills (Excel and Google Sheets)

Experience with general business contracts

MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Ability to travel occasionally
Responsibilities:
-
Manage and develop administrative staff
-
Hands on in completion of monthly financial close, financial reporting, and financial analysis

Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
-
Budgeting and forecasting
-
Maintain adequate internal controls throughout the organization
-
Draft, review, and/or modify standard business contracts related to sales, purchasing, end user licensing, outside contractors, reseller agreements, etc.

Maintain official corporate records/documents

Oversee maintenance proposal tool used by sales staff in preparing estimates

Oversee purchasing process of electronic components and maintain Bill of Materials for manufactured products

Maintain proper insurance coverages for the company and manage any insurance claims

Prepare and submit necessary information to company's outside accountant for filing of multi-state franchise and income tax returns

Manage human resources, benefits enrollment, and payroll (processed by third party)

Draft offer letters, document employee performance issues, communicate employment termination with employees when required, and respond to claims for unemployment

Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Continually improve processes, procedures and efficiencies throughout the organization
